Library and Archives

The Musqueam Indian Band Library maintains a growing collection of works relating to aboriginal rights and history with a focus on the North West Coast and Central Coast Salish.

The Musqueam Indian Band Archives cares for a wide variety of records. The Archives’ holdings include, but are not limited to:

  • The records of General Band and Chief and Council (Kits, Motions, Minutes and Resolutions),
  • Records of the Administration,
  • Reference copies of various Indian Agent and INAC records,
  • A wealth of both digital and analog audio recordings (Reel-to-reels and hundreds cassettes),
  • Photographs,
  • Maps and plans,
  • Newspaper clippings,
  • Records of legal proceedings,
  • Copies of private records of or relating to Musqueam
