WHAT WE DO:
Public Works administers the Band-owned lands, buildings, grounds and capital infrastructure. Our department is also involved in negotiating and managing the provision of servicing for Musqueam (e.g., sewer, water, solid waste).

Some programs include:
NEW DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT
• Re-location and construction of the new Cultural Education Resource Center (Pavilion)
• Construction of Phase 3 Administration Expansion (Recreation facility, offices, daycare, etc.)
• Installation of the Sports Field

PUBLIC WORKS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
• Maintain existing infrastructure
• Developing maintenance management plan (two sanitary lift stations, buildings, roads, all infrastructure, energy)

LIAISING WITH OTHER MUSQUEAM DEPARTMENTS
• Work with other departments, including Housing, Lands, and Taxation

SERVICE PROVIDER NEGOTIATIONS
• Negotiating City Service Agreement with City of Vancouver (recycling, garbage, etc.)
• Works with Metro Vancouver on water and sewer services
